EIPC - Medium pressureStructure of medium pressure pump EIPCRadially compensatedReversable Axially compensableDesignSystem Eckerle EIPC, the new generation of crescent (segment) pumps, are gap compensated internal gear pumps with a steady volumetric flow rate. The meshing length of the gear cogs causes an only slight pulsation of either the system pressure and the volume flow rate, which is fundamental for silent operation.Radial compensationTwo crescents (segments) generate the radial compensation force. Seal rolls – spring loaded – guarantee an almost gapless sealing. According to the operating pressure both crescents fit closely to the pinion’s and the internal gear's cog tips. Several cog tips meeting the segments results in very high tightness. If specified to a symmetrical design the pump can operate in either direction – the excelent efficiency remaining unaffected.Axial compensationThis type of pump can also be equipped with an axial sealing shim for axial gap compensation. The immovable shim, sealing the moving gear components. Due to axial and radial compensation the pump can be used within its entire speed range as an metering device.back
